Southern Dunes, the Foster+ Partners-designed hotel contains 40 villas sheltered by asymmetric timber roofs. It’s located around 100 kilometres northeast of the town of Umluj, a beach town on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast, the hotel complex will be surrounded by a remote desert landscape.

The accommodations comprise guest rooms with an open-plan bedroom and living area and outdoor terrace, along with clusters of villas ranging from one to four bedrooms that occupy strategic peaks to offer prime aspects over the pristine landscape. The hotel is operated by Six Sense.  

Shyam was responsible for procurement, design, project, and contract management. He was also part responsible for location scouting during the feasibility stage.
