The Red Sea International Airport is an international airport under construction in Hanak, Tabuk in north-western Saudi Arabia. Designed by British architects Foster+ Partners, it is expected to be completed in 2023 and service one million passengers in 2030. The airport is part of a luxury and sustainable tourism megaproject in development called The Red Sea Project.
The new Red Sea Airport has been inspired by the forms of the desert, the green oasis and the sea, removing the usual hassle associated with travel by providing a tranquil and memorable experience for passengers from the moment they arrive.
John Pagano, CEO of The Red Sea Development Company said:
“The Red Sea Development Company is making huge progress in the development of a world leading destination and by awarding our largest contract to date, we take another significant step in this direction, while demonstrating our ongoing commitment to creating opportunities within the Saudi Arabian construction sector”
Shyam was responsible for end-end procurement of the airport packages, design, project, and contract management. He was heavily involved in coordinating Foster+Partners and WSP during the concept and design phase.
